Carole
has been involved in the
health and fitness industry
for over 16 years and though
to many the epitome of
health and fitness, she
herself suffered from
eating disorders chronic
irritable bowel syndrome,
migraine headaches, insomnia
and eventually Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome. After
teaching health related
fitness & personal
training in schools, gyms
and to the general public
for many years Carole
changed direction in life
and became one of the
first university graduates
in the world to complete
a 4 year full time university
degree in Western Herbal
Medicine
Carole
was trained in the same
diagnostic skills as orthodox
doctors but taught to
take a more holistic approach
to illness. It was this
approach, along side the
principles of the British
Society of Allergy Environmental
and Nutritional Medicine
and the principles of
The Blood Group Diet that
enabled Carole to feel
a sense of well-being
and aliveness again, These
approaches involve searching
for and identifying the
underlying cause of ill
health, disease or lack
of general vitality rather
than just treating the
symptoms alone. It is
a combination of these
approaches that Carole
uses in her practise.
Caroles
learning from her own
healing journey is that
the level that health
is affected is dependent
on a person’s individual
total load of stresses,
be it from the environment
due to nutritional deficiencies,
physical and emotional
stress, genetic susceptibility
and most importantly the
way we deal with all of
these things. So on completing
university Carole pursued
post graduate studies
in Counselling, Nutrition,
Massage (including massage
in cancer care) and Allergy
and Environmental medicine.
Known as a book and course-aholic
these studies are continuous.
Carole has just enrolled
on an MSc in Clinical
Nutrition and immunology
as she believes the learning
process never ends.
Carole
totally believes one should
practice what one preaches
and is evidence of the
paradigm “of you
are what you eat, digest,
assimilate and eliminate”.
Her patients constantly
express their amazement
when told she is a 46
year old grandmother and
mother of three grown
up children.
